As a player, Sarah won the Concerto Competition at University, (the prize being to perform Haydn's Cello Concerto with the University Orchestra in Birmingham Town Hall).

After University, she went on to perform as a Soloist, in Chamber Music Groups, and with Orchestras.

Favourite piece to perform? the Elgar Cello Concerto!

As a child, Sarah heard a 'cellist playing The Swan by Camille Saint-Saens, and knew from then that she wanted to play the 'cello. It has been her passion ever since.

Sarah is very passionate about ensuring as many young 'cellists as possible get to play on properly set up 'cellos, which is the driving force behind the setting up of Simply Cellos!

Her experience with both playing and teaching the cello means that Sarah can truly help when it comes to finding the right size/level and type of cello for any player of any age.
